SMALLPOX OCCURS ON THE SIERRA.

AUCKLAND, April 2(i. Reports received by the Niagara state that a case of smallpox occurred on the Sierra on the voyage from San Francisco to Suva. The Sierra was quarantined at Suva when the Niagara left for Auckland. It is understood that the Sierra will be further quarantined when it reaches Sydney. A number of passengers who intended joining the Sierra at Suva came on here by the Niagara.
