The Minister of Health apparently is determined that control of the New Zealand hospitals shall remain in the hands of the people, despite anv recommendations to the contrary or influence brought to bear to bring about an alteration of the present system. Speaking at Huntly, the Hon J. A. Young said: “My policy shall be to preserve the control of our hospitals in the hands of the people, who are responsible for arranging their finance and organi sat ion."
