PROFESSOR R. C. BELL, AGED 36, DIES; WAS FIRST TO GAIN D.D.S.

Per Press Association. DUNEDIN. April 26. The death is announced of Dr Raynor Colin Bell, professor of Clinical Dentistry at Otago University, aged thirty-six. Professor Bell was a native of New Zealand and was aducated at Nelson College and Otago University. During the war he served with the dental corps at Trentham and Featherston and accompanied the troops to Egypt. He was in private practice in Masterton before being appointed to Otago in 1920. He was the first to obtain the degree of D.D.S. from the New Zealand University.
