WEDDINGS.

ARMSTRONG—SANDFORD. A wedding was solemnised on AA’ednesday at the Styx Presbyterian Church. when Ivy May, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs AV. Sandford, of Papanui. was married to John Wright Armstrong, also of Papanui. The bride, who was given a way by her father, wore a charming frock of cream crepe de chine with lace on the skirt and sleeves and godets of crepe de chine effectively trimmed with pearls. Her beautiful tulle veil, which AVa * hand-embroidered in horseshoes and true lovers' knots, was held to her head with a circlet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of hot-house flowers and maidenhair fern. She was attended by Miss B. Dasler and Aliss D. Sandford as bridesmaids. Their becoming frocks were of mauve and apricot crepe de chine respectively, and they carried posies of apricot and mauve flowers to tone with their frocks. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Sandy Townlev, of Fernside, as best man.

Mrs W. Sandford, the bride’s mother, wore a becoming frock of tan crepe de chine and a black hat. Mrs France, mother of the bridegroom, wore a smart black frock and a hat to match.

Later, about fifty guests were entertained at the home of the bride's parents, where the usual toasts were honoured.

When Airs Armstrong left for the south on her wedding tour, she wore a smart navy garbicord frock with an accordeon-pleated vest and a gold hat to match.

DUNLOP-HORNE. A wedding was recently solemnised at Rangiora. when Emily Monica daughter of Mr and Airs J. W. Horne, was married to Robert Oliver, eldest son of Air and Airs Dunlop, both of Rangiora. The Rev W. H. Vickery, of Kaiapoi, performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a wedding gown of embroidered white crepe de chine made on simple lines, wffth a veil to match held in place, by a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of cream sweet peas intermingled with gypsophila. The bride was attended by* Aliss Eva Dawson (Loburn), who wore a dainty frock of apricot shot taffetas and in her hair was a wreath of tinted flowers, and she carried a bouquet of sweet peas to match. The bride's niece, little Sylvia Godart, was flower girl, and was dressed in pale pink and blue georgette. She carried a basket of roses and sweet peas. The bridegroom was attended by Air Bruce Henderson (Clarkville) as best man. and Air William Horne, brother of the bride, as groomsman. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, the guests being received by Airs J. W. Horne, mother of the bride, and Airs R. Dunlop, mother of the bridegroom. Afrs Horne wore a frock of black and white satin marocain, and Airs Dunlop a nigger brown frock with Oriental trimmings. AA'hen the bride and bridegroom left by car for their wedding tour, the bride travelled in a smart tailored costume and a small hat en suite.
