LIBERTY THEATRE.
The dark forests of Africa, with their many dangers, make a fine setting for “ The White. Man,” which the programme at Liberty Theatre. The author. George Agnew Chamberlain, has chosen a good location for a picture of adventure and love, for in the littleknown heart of the Dark Continent anything might happen- The part of the White Sian is taken by Kenneth Harlan, who makes a complete success of it. Alice Joyce plays the part of Andrea with charm. In his last picture, “Seven Years’ Bad Luck.” Max Linder demonstrates that he can make the spectators laugh heartily for an hour. The story tells of a. superstitious man who smashed a mirror on the eve of his wedding. The train of ill-luck that followed him was remarkable. “ Derby Day ” is an amusing comedy. An admirable selection of music is contr buted by the Liberty Concert Orchestra.
