GOLF.
AVONDALE CLUB. The seventh annual meeting of the Avondale Golf Club was held last night. Mr R. L. Bennett, captain, presided over an attendance of about twenty members. The annual report and balance-sheet, which have been published, were adopted, the chairman saying that they rethe rlubs best year financiallv. The following officers were elected: President, Mr F. L. Hutchison; vicepresidents, Messrs St. G. Atkinson and A. M Donald Smith; captain. Mr Bennett: committee. Messrs W. M. Everist H. R. T. Spanjer, S. A. Prankard, ,1. K Stokes, S. Wynne, and ,T. M. Preston; honorary auditor, Mr G. T. Bullock. The chairman said that. Mr W. H Macdouga.ll had done a great deal for the club. In appreciation of his exceptional services, Mr Macdougall was elected a life member. A vote of thanks was passed to Messrs Bennett and .T. M. Preston for going to Wellington on the club's business during the year.
