PRIEST CUT OFF FROM CHURCH BY THE POPE.

The Rome correspondent of the “ Daily Express ” reports that the Pope has excommunicated for the second time Monsignor Bonaiuti. Regius Professor of History and Christianity in Rome University, owing to his Modernist views. The professor was a disciple of Father Tyrrell, who also was excommunicated. The Pope gave the Professor three days to stop university teaching, to stop publishing his religious views and to resign the editorship of the Review of Religions. As he would not promise to comply’ with these requirements his excommunication was ordered and the Faithful arc not allowed to have intercourse with the professor.
