DANCE RECITAL.
MISS LOWE'S PUPILS. ATiss Lowe’s well-trained dancing classes gave a recital in the Caledonian Hall yesterday afternoon. Aliss Lowe's classes are well disciplined, and one of the remarkable features of the pupils’ work is the marvellous preservation of time. The classes have been thoroughly trained in the rudiments of the art of dancing, and are certain to make progress. The programme was opened by the juvenile class, with marching and dumb-bell exercises, followed by a polka and fox trot. Their part of the entertainment was finished with a pleasing Sir de Coverley. The combined classes, in addition to dancing, gave dumb-bell and marching exercises and bar work. The more ambitious work was done by the Rangi-Ruru classes, particularly the advanced pupils, who contributed Norwegian and Russian dances. The recital was artisticallystaged. The music for the dances was supplied by Mrs AY. Murdoch. Miss frock of black marocain. veiled with fine black lace. The guests included:— Mrs L. L. Scott. Mrs <\ Buchanan, Mrs P. J.
