AN ALL-ROUNDER.
AMATEUR sport of any kind ! appeals to Ray Blank, but he has been more specially identified with cricket, golf and swimming. As a cricketer and golfer he is well known in Christchurch, and at both games he is no mean exponent. He has been playing senior cricket for a good many years now, but he is still able to make runs, and he frequently comes to light with a score
when it is most needed by his side. Last Saturda3', for instance, when East Christchurch collapsed against St Albans, he was top scorer with 35, and in the previous match with Sydenham he was the only East batsman who made double figures in each innings. East Christchurch have been one of the weaker senior cricket clubs in Christchurch for some seasons now, but Blank has stuck to them solidly throughout.
