WILL CURTAIL BETTING IN BRITISH COLUMBIA.
(Reuter’s Correspondence.) VICTORIA, 8.C., October 10. The past racing season in British Columbia showed a considerable decrease in the volume of betting. The total passing through the machines -was 1050.000, compared with last year's total of £1,250,000. A strong movement is afoot to curtail even further the betting in tho pi o vince.
