In connection with the murder of Mrs Mact* ie, the police are now searching for a European whose initials arc E. N. When Mrs MacFic arrived at Weltevreden she declared that she must as soon as possible go to the Garoet Hotel, because she had made an appointment on the steamer with somebody who would meet her there. A poem and letter signed E. X., containing hints at murder, are reported to have been, found in her room at the hotel.
