CHATHAM CUP. RANGERS V. LYTTELTON. Excellent weather prevailed for the New Zealand Chatham Cup replay between Lyttelton and Rangers at English Park. A Ran- I gers assault was repulsed by Taylor, and Lyttelton made ground down the centre. Latterway placed to Parle, who scored with a low cross shot. Prom a Rangers attack, Ives narrowly missed with a shot from the wing. At the other end Latterway missed two easy chances to goal for Lyttelton. . Then Rangers broke through on the left. Jves centred, and Gibson levelled the scores from close in. Both goals were in danger in following play, but good defensive play kept the ball out. Shots by ivlltchell and Norman narrowly missed. Perry made a brilliant save from M’Laohlan. and at the other end Harwell mised badly with only Wilson, the Lyttelton keeper, to heat. In a Lyttelton attack Latterway was anchored i-i the mud and was huslted off the ball right under tlio cross-bar. From Rangers territory, Gibson and Barwell broke through. WESTERN V. THISTLE,

Thistle kicked off against Western at Sunnyside this afternoon. At once, from a throw-in, Whittington put across a long pass to Norrie, who raced away, and beat the goalie with a fast shot. Norrie got away again, but HobertP'»n cleared. Ellis took play down Thistle, but Whittington cleared. I* got possession, and transferred Keese, but Dick stopped him. Thistle wont down, and Thomas made a well judged kick that bounced off the crossbar. Western made a forward rush down the field, and Nor rie netted. Western 2, Thistle 1. The half-time whistle went with the score unchanged. On the resumption, Western made a strong attack, and Falkner was brought to his knees in saving a hot one from Norrie. Whittington got the ball, and set the forwards going with Hoy in possession. Clements shot, but Falkiner cleared. Western were awarded a penalty, but Falkiner gathered without difficulty. Thistle put in a hard attack, but Sproston cleared. Norrie got away, and Aitken had hard work to stop him. The ball went to Hoy, who netted, but was off-side. Whittington shot, but the ball went over the bar. Thistle went down, and Thomas scored. Western 2, Thistle 2. SENIOR B. I-Caiapoi won from St Albans by default. SIXTH GRADE.
