BEAUMONT SMITH FILMS.

BRANCH IN NEW ZEALAND. The Beaumont Smith Films have opened a new branch permanently in the De Luxe Theatre Buildings, Wellington, for the exploitation of the Beaumont Smith productions under the management of Mr Maurice Ralph. Mr Smith has now eighteen productions to his credit, and, what is much more important, is getting them released, and showmen always make a good profit out of them. In New Zealand Mr Smith has at the present time “ Hello, Marmaduke ! ” “ Prehistoric Hayseeds ” and “Digger Earl,” all of which have received their premiere screening at the vStrand Theatre, Auckland, one of the leading picture houses' in the Dominion. Mr Smith’s latest production, which is now receiving its finishing touches, is “ The Adventures of Algy.” This feature is practically all New Zealand film with New Zealand screen tvpes in the cast. This will be ready for screening about the end of July. In “ The Adventures of Algy ”* arc scenes taken in | Auckland, Rotorua, Ngaruawahia, New 1 Plymouth, Christchurch, Wellington i and Dunedin, and the sundry scenes | showing various beauty spots of the l Dominion.
