Miss Janet Paterson, Sefton Street, Timaru, arrived at Christchurch on Saturday to attend the M'Farlane-Xor-t;»n wedding, which took place on Tuesday. She is staying with Miss Betty Overton. The usual meeting of the Seiwyn Xitrsing Division of the St John Ambulance Brigade was held on Tuesday night. Miss Ironside, lady superintendent presided. There was a good attendance of members. A motion of sympathy with relatives of the late Miss Murray, former secretary to the division, was carried, members standing. One new member was elected, and two members congratulated on passing an examination in First Aid. After other routine business was transacted a short time was spent in first aid practice, after which SergeantMajor Rudd superintended the division in competition in transport.
