HIT BY A POLE.
LORRY DRIVER INJURED. Struck on the head by an electric light pole while working at Pendarves, Archie Campbell, driver of one of the Ashburton Transport motor-lorries, was rendered unconscious on Monday evening. Campbell was assisting to load some ; poles on to his lorry when one of them j rolled back and struck him on the head and shoulder. He was admitted to the j Ashburton County Hospital.
