ART UNION DRAWING.
To the Editor. Sir, In the results of the cricked and tennis art union, I notice several numbers of only four digits. Now, as I was present when the art union was drawn, I can vouch for the fact that there were five bags for figures, and that a marble was drawn from each one. Can you enlighten as to how some numbers have only four figures? If onlv four were drawn sometimes, to give the holders of such tickets a chance, this would be most unfair, since five were drawn for the first prize and as long as I stayed five were drawn all the time.—l am, etc., CURIOUS. Four-figure numbers occurred whenever a nought was drawn from the fifth bag.- K.i. “Star.**
