Tap>an, New /calami and Australia to the Institute o‘ Pacific. Relations, addressing the Fan Pacific: Club expressed tho opinion that the meeting of the Institute next month would be a great factor towards guaranteeing peace in the Pacific. Mr Duncan Hall, secretary of the New South "Wales League of Nations Union said that the Institute would lake a. great step forward if it would establish regular and frequent conferences. “There is room in the Pacific lor permanent conference machinery to promote good relations among the different peoples,” ho said. “Wo have treaties, but they do not go far enough. Peace is more than a negative aversion towards war. It is belief in pure, healthy international life.”
