LABOUR M.P.’S AND DRINK QUESTION.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. June 22. Replying to “Questions for the M.P.” by thc New Zealand Alliance, Mr M. J. Savage, voicing the attitude of the Auckland members of the Labour Party, said that he was pledged to the aims and principles of thc New Zea land Labour Party and was not going to pledge himself to anything else. The party believed thc people should be allowed to decide national questions themselves. Its Constitution provided for any question being decided by a referendum if 10 per cent of the people petitioned Parliament to that end. Tha 4 was the attitude he took in regard to thc issues placed before him.
