ENGLAND V. AMERICA. (Seceivcd Juno 19. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, Juno IS. At Eastborue, England won three out of Hennessey (A) beat Wheatley (E), 7-5, G-2. 4-6. 7-5. Gilbert (E) beat Casey (A), 9-7, 9-7. G-3. SHIRLEY TENNIS CLUB. The annual meeting of the .St Albans Tennis Club was held in the pavilion on Tuesday. Mr \Y. S. Somerville was in thc chair. The annual report was read and discussed and the balance sheet read and adopted, op. the motion of Mr Tait and seconded by Mr Renton. The election of officers for 1925 resulted as follow:—Secretary, P. \V. Young; Treasurer, A. M. Hatch; Committee:- Misses E. Buchanan, G. Wright, 1. Webb, Banks and Nicholls. Messrs R. IT. Tait, E. E. West, P. 11. Ilowell, E. F. Oakes and M. R. Renton. Delegates to the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association, Messrs J. 11. Kirk, W. S. Somerville and R. 11. Tait: delegates to Executive, Messrs R. 11. Tait. E. E. West and P. W. Young; selectors and handicappers, Messrs R. H. Tait, A. M. Hatch, and P. AY. Young: groundsman. Mr P. 11. Powell; club captain. Mr J. If. Kirk.
