CAVEMEN AT LARGE.
MAKING A MOVIE IN SYDNEY. Sydney recently had the opportunity of seeing a moving picture in the making. Beaumont Smith photographed a good number of his “Prehistoric Hayseeds” scenes in public. Cavemen and cavewomen seemed 1o Spring from nowhere, so did the crowds which immediately surrounded them. Tl«t* «other day, people were placidlv going about ther own business near tho Central Railway Station, when tho sudden stopping of a motor ear turned them into a seething mass of excitement and curiosity. From tho car stepped tho Stono Age survivors. Along tlio sunny road they walked, wearing tho skins of wild animals and expressions of amazement at meeting Sydney. Hector St Clair was one of them ; Lotus Thomson another. And the prehistoric people were doing the sights under the guidance of J. I*. O’Neill in tho garb of Dad Hayseed.
