A lir.e-out in Varsity’s end gave Holland a chance to pass to Slierriffst. but Mackie again cleared. Once again Sydenham went down, but Mackie teas safe and u penalty coiner was the result. Then play was transferred to the other circle, and p. Richmond passed to W. Bell, who opened the .Vs account. The B's came again, and MacDonald equalised the scores with a fast shot. M'Oaffrey gained ground on the left for the A team, but half time was called with the scores: St-lwyn V 1 Selwyn B 1. ’ On resuming the A’s gained the upper hand, and Faulkner saved a high mi-,i irom W. Bell. W. Bell then secured and put the A .team in the lead. Crawford transferred play to A territorv out the A’s returned and W. Richmond notched another goal. A penalty corner to the A team enabled W. Bell to again score. Neal gained ground for the B s a corner resulting in Unwin narrowly missing the posts. St Albans played one short against Technical. Fast play followed the bully. Oracle hit hard and, Teague following up iast, beat tne bacx and scored with his second shot. Technical were getting through on the mistakes of tne opposing back, but gained no advantage from a corner, and St Albans initiated a strong attack. Tchnical cleared a corner and hit 'upheld. Graeie followed up fast and, heating the hacks, went on and scored, making Technical two up. An attack by St Albans ended in Small securing near tne circle and passing to Hail, who goaled. Half-time went with Technical attacking, and the score: Technical 2, St Albans J. for Technical, made a good run down the lino, ending iu a penalty corner. Just after tho start, Scott, for Technical, mado a good centre, and 'league potted with a good pliot. St. Albanp pressed, but could not penetrate tbo Technical defence. Sopor, for St. Albans, cleared well from a Technical forward rush From a bully-off in Technicals twenty-five, St. Albans took play up to their goal, but could uot find the net. St. Albans attacked and were unlucky in not scoring. St. Albans secured three penalty corners in succession, the last of which was cleared with difficulty.
