FUNERAL OF C. R. DAS. ' HUGE CROWD ATTENDS. I I By Telegraph—Preas Association—Copyright Sydney “ Sun ” Cable. (Received June 19, 2 p.m.) DELHI, June IS. From dawn crowds commenced to gather in Calcutta to witness the funeral of C. R. Das, head of the Swaraj movement. It is estimated that 400.000 people awaited tho arrival of the body by train. A procession of 30,000 people followed along seven miles of packed route to the burping ghat, where the last rites wero performed. Tho body was completely covered with flowers. A number of accidents occurred owing to tho crush, hut otherwise everything was orderly.
