One of the most curious gilts received by the Prince of Wales during all his travels was a key to bis own home, St James's Palace. This was presented to him on behalf of an old lady at Pietersburg. Ihe key was stolen from George HI in 1789 and was given to Latly (.'harlotto Finch, a member of the royal household and beoueathed bv he r to an ancestor of Miss Lawrence, of Pietersburg.
