SHUNTER INJURED.
Per Tress Association. DUNEDIN, June 17. John Alexander Birtles, aged twentyeight, employed on the railway as a shunter, sustained serious injuries to his right arm this evening through slipping from a carriage step while engaged in shunting in the Dunedin v-ards. The wheels passed over the arm. which probably will have to 3:>e amputated.
