John Cochrane Pollock, aged twenty, appeared for sentence on a charge of having been found by night without lawful excuse in Guthrie’s boardinghouse. lie pleaded guilty to an additional charge of having stolen an overcoat. Pollock was convicted on both charges, and was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon any time within twelve months. He was warned that a further lapse would mean being sentenced on the id resent charges. O BSCENE L ANG UA G E Arthur Henry Wade, aged fortyfive, was charged with having cast- offensive matter in a public place and with having used obscene language outside tlie police station.
