WHEN BAND PLAYED SCOTTISH AIRS. By Telegraph—Pre s Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received April 4, 1 p.m.) LONDON, May 3. When members of the Young Australia League entered Scotland, crossing through Gretna Green, they were met by a pipers’ band. A party of Glasgow business men stood beneath an arch across the roadway, inscribed “Welcome to Scotland.” When the Australian band played Scottish airs, a mob of cattle in an adjoining field stampeded. When the boys neared Glasgow, the leading motor-car in the procession, carrying the welcome committee, ran over a girl, who was sent to hospital.
