UNION ROWING CLUB.

ANNUAL REUNION. The Union Rowing- Club dosed Hie 1924-25 season on Saturday evening -with its annual reunion and presentation of prizes, the club’s large social hall being filled with members and guests from other clubs. Mr U. JL.ec, president, occupied the chair. ceedings Hie chairman referred to lie illness of air T. 11. Grenfell, one of the most successful racing members the club ever had. and who was a member of the Xew Zealand crew that recently visited Sydney. Shortly after his return, said the speaker, Mr Grenfell underwent a medical examination under X-rays, and was found to he suffering from spinal trouble. Expert opinion was that he would be in hospital for fully twelve months, possibly longer, and. all members would heartily sympathise with him in his trouble. In order that Mr Grenfell would have asfare, he moved the following resolution: "This company gathered together at. the Union .flowing (Hub's annual reunion extends to Mr T. 11. Grenfell its kindest regards, and sincere hopes for a speedy and complete recovery.” This was carried, those present standing. In presenting the IJ.C.U.
