RANGIORA GOLF CLUB.

After two postponements, the Rangiora Golf Ciub ojiened tho season on Saturday. There was an unusually large attendance of members and visitors from other clubs, and the weather being favourable, an enjoyable afternoon was spent by all. The president of the club, Air Ronald Aiacdoriald, in a happy little speech, welcomed the players, and alter Mrs Alacdonald haa , driven the first ball, declared the . season opened. For a Hag match about : sixty players took the field, and in a j close finish, Airs F. Tolmer and Air E. O. Heney won the first prize, the second prizes going to Aiiss F. Jennings and Air L. D. Harley. Airs Alacdonald then entertained all at afternoon tea. after which an approaching and putting competition was held, the winners being Aiiss N. Alorrish, Air E. O. Heney.
