AN EXCELLENT INVESTMENT.

NEW BUILDING SOCIETY. VASTLY IMPROVED SYSTEM OF WORKING. The circumscribed method of working hitherto common to Building Societies has caused many people to hesitate tying themselves to subscriptions that might last for many years without bringing the purchase of a home much nearer. A new system of working has been introduced by the Prudential Building and Investment Society of Canterbury which overcomes this objection ami provides other advantages as well. Some of the advantages of the new society are: Compound interest is on all subscriptions up to the tiike a loan is secured. Is fore than treble the number of loans are arranged for members, as their subscriptions are used to provide the margin required by investors and the bulk of the loan money is obtained from outside sources; members having sufficient security can obtain loans without waiting for a ballot; and members can withdraw from the Society at any time and receive the surrender value of the amount standing to their credit—after seven years this would amount to the full sum paid in plus the accumulated compound interest credited to him each year. The whole plan of working is outlined in the prospectus which is obtainable from the secretary. The Prudential Building and Investment Society of Canterbury, 130, Hereford Street, Christchurch. So 9
