GREEK VENDETTA. SYDNEY, April 17. Tile South Australian police are investigating a revolting ease of murder in the town oi looter borough, on the northern railway. During last week-end the body of a Greek named Joanes Vlahos was found in a quarry near Peterborough with the thrtfat gashed, and the heart cut out of the body. The police are searching for Arastotilis Beimetos, another Greek, who is suspected of having been with the murdered man. Vlahos, Nicolas, Tsontsos, and Bennetos were employed on Government railway works at Peterborough until last Saturday week, when they were dismissed. Oa Tuesday night a quarrel took place, and knives were drawn. .Tt is believed that in this quarrel Tsontsos was stabbed in the back. Tsontsos, who is at present in Adelaide Hospital, is alleged to have stated that Vlahos had attacked him with a knife, and that Bennetos had carried him to a tent and I attended to his wound. He had gone away lor about an hour and a half. On his return the two changed their clothes, wrapped them in a bundle, and took train for Adelaide. On the way the clothes had been thrown out of the train window. A bag of bloodstained clothes was found on the line between Riverton and Tar lee. The police were notified, and Tsontsos was found in a private hospital in a serious condition. Bonne tos was not to be found, nor could any information be gained from Tsontsos. Detectives, however, went to Peterborough. Vigorous search is being nrosecuted by the Adelaide police for Bennetos.
