DRIVING TESTS.
* FOR MOTORIST”/ LICENSES. I here appears to ho some uncertainty regarding the question of driving tests for motorists applying for d,rivers’ licenses under the. Motor Vehicles Act, and Mr IT. M’ln tosh, the iCty Motor Inspector, explained to a rcarter the procedure which is being adopted. Mr MMntosh said that in cases of persons applying for license to drive who already held certificates of ability issued by himself, the licenses were issued without further -driving tests, except where an applicant* suffered irom a physical defect or incapacity ° ia nature likely to interfere with his management of a motor vehicle.
