UNABLE TO VOTE.

MANY CITIZENS OFF ROLL. Many citizens who went to the booths expecting to vote found that their names were not on the roll. The Town Clerk states that this is not the fault of the City Council officers, who could not be more careful than they are in looking after applications for enrolment, lie believes that these citizens enrolled on the Parliamentary roll instead of the municipal roll. This belief is supported by the fact that many of the disappointed citizens said that they had received cards acknowledging receipt of .their applications. These cards are issued by the Registrar for the Parliamentary roll only. No cards of acknowledgment are issued in respect to the municipal roll.
