MINERS UNITE.

NEW INDUSTRIAL MOVE. (Special t 0 the ‘‘Star.”) r WELLINGTON, April 30. An important development, indicating that the new industrial movement among the coal-miners is fairly established, is the fact that three out of rive miners’ unions in the North Island have given notice to cancel their registration under the Arbitration Act. The Pukemiro and Teakatea miners in Waikato have not taken action. The attitude of the Otago and Southland miners has not been determined. This latest phase means the strenghtening of the United Mine Workers’ Federation.
