MIXISTERIAL. The Hon J. G. Coates. Minister of Railways, arrived in Christchurch from Wellington this morning and went through by the express to Invercargill. Sir Trubv King, ot' Wellington, arrived from the north this morning, and is staying at the Clarendon Hotel. Messrs G. W. Somerville and M. Ford, Wellington, are at the Clarendon Hotel. Messrs A. Wells (Napier) and T. Nicclson (Wellington) are among the guests at the United Service Hotel. Archbishop O’Shea (Auckland) arrived from the north by the ferry steamer this morning. Messrs W. A. Britton, R. E. Cunningham, E. Johnston, E. J. Mann, W. S. Britton (Wellington) and W. A. Segal (Sydney) are at Warner’s Hotel. Mr Gordon G. Holmes, of Knoeklynn, Halswcll, who recently met with a serious accident, has recovered sufficiently to return to his home. Lady Harry Lauder is at present ▼i&iting her brother, Mr W. M’Tntyre. general manager of the Universal Film Company for Australia, was a through passenger for America by th© Makura, which left Wellington yesterday. Among tho passengers who arrived in Perth this morning on the Cathay is Sir Bhagwana Singh, Maharajrana of .llialwar, who, after a tour of Australia will proceed to New Zealand. Senior-Sergeant L. O’Halloran, who has held that office in the Napier district for some time, passed through Christchurch yesterday on liis way to Dunedin, where he will take up new duties as sub-inspector.
