The long-looketl-for season of Air Seymour Hicks and Aliss Ellaiine Terriss opened last evening ai the Theatre i Royal to a large and most appreciative j audience. The visit of these clever : artists has been eagerly anticipated, j and it- is safe to say that each individual in the audience last evening '■ found the realisation even more satis- j factory and enjoyable than the antici- ! pation. Miss Ellaiine Terriss makes! but two changes in her gowns, both j of which were charming and attractive j in their simplicity and style. Miss i Terriss has returned to the stage after an illness of five years’ duration. Her frocks, which were elegantly i cut, suited her graceful figure admir- ' ably. An afternoon street frock was j of light- cinnamon marooain with long, ! tight-fitting sleeves and a sling cape 1 falling below the waist and trimmed ; with bands of Kolinski fur. The , tight-fitting wrap skirt with a loose 1 pleated front panel was also edged with fur. Her hat of a deeper shade of brown had a slightly upturned brim and was trimmed with nasturtium shaded flowers, and a posy of the same shaded flowers was attached to the shoulder of her frock. An evening gown of jade green and silver shot tissue was most desirable, over which she wore an uncommon cape wrap of silver brocaded lame, lined and panelled with green georgette and finished with a wide ruffled collar of green and NEAT ANKLES. Bear Brand heavy quality silk hosiery is noted for the well-favoured contour which it gives to ankles and for its ensuring of grace, distinctiveness and refinement to clothes generally. Though costing only os lid (No 105) and 4s lid (No 102) it is easily the equivalent of stockings costing three turn as much. i
