Crossley Heggarty was committed for tiral at Wolverhampton on the charge of murdering Constable Willi ts. Accused’s companion Dixon, aged fourteen, gave evidence that lie saw Heggarty shoot the constable. while witness held Willits’s arm to stop him from blowing his whistle. Heggarty fired again twice. The constable staggered across the road and fell. Constable Willets Mas murdered at Wolverhampton by a youth, whom he disturbed breaking into a house. Ileggarty was arrested and charged with the murder.
