BEAD EMBROIDERY.
When arranging to embroider or sew beads on to a skirt., it is much better to do up the seams before placing the transfer on the material. However careful one i». it is almost impossible to get the pattern to agree absolutely if the design is put on befdfre the pieces are seamed together.
IVORY CLEANING, Ivory is costly and beautiful, but-it should be kept spotless, or it loses 4ts looks. The safest way -to clean ivyis to lay upon it a thick paste of saFdust dampened with a little lemon juice. The paste should be laid on very thickly and allowed to dry on. Then it should be removed with a line nail brush. Matting should be washed with salt and water, in -the proportion of one pint of salt to hall a pailful 'of soft water, moderately warm. IVy’ immediately with a soft cl -th and then put in the air.
