Miss Byrne, buyer in the frock, fur and coat section at Beatb’s, and Miss "White-Parsons, the millinery buyer, left on Wednesday night for Wellington on route to London. Vincent, the pianist, who attracted a large audience at her second recital in the Caledonian Hall, last evening, was again received with great applause. Her frock for last evening’s concert was of emerald green and gold brocade, made on simple lines and slightly draped at the sides. Miss Vincent not only proves herself to he an excellent pianist, but also an artist in the choice of her frocking. A sale of goods was held yesterday afternoon in the Y.W.C.A. Cafetaria in High Street, in aid of St George's Hospital. A sewing guild, organised by Airs Hagger and Aliss G. Carl, have been sewing during the winter, meeting one day each week. On Thursday evening a kitchen evening ''.as given by Airs H. C. Woodard, m honour of Miss Molly Sheehand, who is to be married shortly. Tile evening was spent in music and dancing. Mrs J. On Saturday evening at the invitation of -Mr and Mrs Henning, of Ngaio Street, St Martins, a number of friends assembled to celebrate the twenty-first ..birthday of their eldest son Herbert. Games and dancing were indulged in, music being supplied by Messrs AI. Rogers, O. Stewart, F. .Aspinal, L. Brown and C yril Smith. The supporroom was gaily decorated with streamers and balloons while on the tables was a birthday cake lit with twentyone candles. The toast of the guest was honoured. Miss Willis paid a visit to the school with a number of kindergarten pupils from Normal School.
