The weather was fine and there was a satisfactory attendance for the concluding day of the Victoria haring Club's spring m s!r * nlghlock led for the last half-mile in the Batman Stakes, and won easily from the fast finishing Textile. Tn the 1- Jemincton Handicap Manner.* was in front all the way and won easily. Tie now claims three wins and a second out- of four starts: He cost 210 guineas as a yearling. Gloaming was scratched for the ‘A B. Fisher Plate at 12.4 i p.m. Lilypond was last to the turn and then made a brilliant popular. Murray King led all the way in the V R.C. Handicap, winning easily and giving J. Fuzzard his first winning ride. King High led for the last two miles and a half of the steeplechase. Peithias piloted the field home over the last seven furlongs of the Final Handicap and won by a narrow margin from Tookarby. who was last in the early part of the journey.
