CORSAIR BAY CAMPERS.
TO THE EDITOR Sir, —In regard to the unjust statements brought up against tbe Corsair Boy campers, is it fair that all the campers should be blamed for the doings of one or two; and yet there is no absolute proof of tbe alleged mis-conduct of the one or two ? Has Councillor Morris proof that the campers robbed his orchard? The majority of the campers don’t know where his orchard is! Surely he must know that the bay is not reserved for campers only, but for the public of Canterbury. Many Lyttelton people also use the Bay road. There have been camps at Corsair Bay for the last four or five years, and if anyone would like to inquire into the conduct of the campers during that period, let them apply to the late lessees of the bay. I am sure that if there had been any trouble with the campers, complaints would have come to notice before now. The conscientious campers have always done their utmost to keep the camps in good order. They have also been the foundation of a very financial swimming club, which is a fine sporting body.—l am, etc., PIONEER CAMPER.
