BURGLARS ACTIVE IN WELLINGTON.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 29 Burglars are still active iu the city, the latest exploit concerning the entry of J. M. Roberts’s grocery store in Upland Road, Kelburn. The intruders gained an entrance by removing the outside bolt from the street door, breaking the glass pane and unlocking the inside catch- Fortunately there was no money in the till at the time, but the marauders were able to make off with a quantity of cigarettes valued at approximately £6. As far as can be ascertained no other property is missing. Sone eighteen months ago, Roberts’s shop was similarly entered, but the thieves eventually weie brought to book.
