NUMEROUS THEFT CHARGES.
(Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND, July 17. At the Police Court Stanley Laurence George Couch pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence, for breaking and entering in Grey Street and stealing £l. Accused pleaded that he was drunk and didn’t know what he was doing. Theo AA alters was charged with haring converted to his own use a motorcar in such a manner as to be not guilty of theft, with stealing a car from tho same owner, with having failed to account for £35, and also with obtaining £lO by falsely representing that ho had a motor-oar for sale and with obtaining £lO by falsely representing that ho held the lease of a motor garagfi. Accused pleaded net guilty and was committed for trial.
