Mrs G. Dixon, of Wellington, is visiting Christchurch. Mr and Mrs Dixon. Wellington, went to Mount Cook yesterday. Mr and Mrs Andrews have returned to Oamaru after a short visit to Timaru. Mr and Mrs Dixon, of Wellington, ! are at present staying at the Hermit- j age. Mr and Mrs C. W. Birch. Dunedin, j arrived from "Wellington this morning, i and are at Warner’s Hotel Mr and Mrs B. R. Long, Hawera, ! left for Central Otago to-day, after spending several days in Christchurch. Mr and Mrs R. Acton Adams, of Dunedin, who have been visiting Wellington, are making a short stay in Christchurch on their way south. Mr ami Mrs J. H. Davison (Culverden., and Mr and Mrs E. M. Hunt (Wellington) are staying at Warner’ 3 Hotel. Mr and Mrs Simon Mackenzie and Miss Mary Mackenzie, Rainciiff, will leave for the north on Thursday to join the s.s. Maheno for Sydney. Mr and Mrs Hanrick, Queensland, j arrived in Timaru from Christchurch 011 Monday, and stayed at the Hj’dro Grand till yesterday, when they left j for The Hermitage. The many friends of Mrs Cayley Rob- { inson. of Merivale, who left 'for England with her daughter a few months ; ago. will regret to hear of her death. ! which took place' in a London nursing | home on Saturday night last. Messrs Partridge, Christchurch. O. | R. Richards, H. B. Cowles, Melbourne, and F. J. Hanrou, Wellington, who were at the Grosvenor, Timaru, went j to The Hermitage in a special Mount ! Cook car on Monday. Mrs E. Vincent and Miss Mary Yin- j Christchurch, where the latter intends 1 to study nursing. Prior to her de- j parture a party of friends went to j Kingsdown to bid her farewell and to ' make her h presentation On Wednesday evening Miss Rosie ! Lang was the guest of honour at a j kitchen evening in the Saltwater - Creek schoolroom. The function took ' the form of a social, cards, games, i singing and dancing being indulged in, j the music for the latter being supplied 1 by Miss Mavis Lang. Misses Katie and !
