MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH. (Before Alessrs J. H. Seager, J.P., and H. F. Herbert, J.P.) DRUNKENNESS. A first offender was fined £i ; ia default forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. LINE NOT CLEARF. B. Cotton was charged with attempting to pass over the railway crossing at Oamaru when the line was not cleap. He pleaded guilty and was fined 40s and ordered to pay solicitor’s fee £1 Is, and Court costs 7s. SENTENCE DEFERRED. Ethel Afarion Louise Mortimer Thatcher and John William Barraclough were charged with failing to provide proj>er drains and other appurtenances at their house situated in the Esplanade, New Brighton. Each defendant was convicted and sentence was deferred for two months to give an opportunity to defendants to make alterations. (Before Air H. Y. Widdowson, S.M.) ARMS ACT BREACH. Jack Cli&rles Hancock was charged with failing to notify the police of the change of his address, when in possession of a revolver. He was ordered to pay costs 7s.
