Mr Arthur Clarke has tendered his resignation from the secretaryship ot the Ashburton Hospital Board and it has been accepted. Mr Clarke was appointed to the position out of 56 applicants in 1910. when the board as at present constituted was inaugurated. For about thirteen years Mr Clarke has carried on the secretarial duties of the County Hospital Latterly the work has greatly increased on account of other institutions being added to those controlled by the board.
