MISHAP TO ORVIETO. TWO TUGS SENT OUT. By Telegrapn—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. BRISBANE, May 15. The Orient liner Orvieto ran aground last night near the mouth of the Brisbane River. A passing steamer unsuccessfully attempted to tow her off. Two tugs have left to give assistance. Tlie position is not serious, and a further attempt will be made this morning.. The Orvieto was built at Belfast in 1909 by "Workman Clark and Co., Ltd. She is a twin screw steamer, 535.3 ft in length, 64ft in beam, and cl depth of 38.6 ft. Her owners. Orient Steam Navigation Company, have had her engaged on the Australian-Home run for years.
