A CONCILIATION MATTER. The Conciliation proceedings itif connection with the industrial dispute bettween the Christchurch branch of the Amalgamated Engineering Union and their employers were to have been, held to-day, but neither to the dispute put in an appearance. It is understood that the employers, through the association in. Wellington, have filed an application for a Dominion dispute, and that the union have acquiesced in this, and will file counterproposals as respondents.
In the meantime the local dispute is adjourned sine die.
