ST GEORGE’S HOSPITAL.
An enthusiastic meeting was held at College House in connection with St George's Hospital. The Hon Mrs Tahu Rhodes reported that things were well in hand for the Meadowbank stall at the October market. Mrs .7. T. Studholme was given leave of absence to visit England. Her arrangement for leaving the apron arid bag stall in. charge of Miss Bowen and Mesdames R. Alien and Irving was heartily approved of. Mrs .f. G. Wilson was put Tt sole charge of the produce stall. Mrs G. Andrews wave encouraging accounts of work done in connection with certain stalls. Mrs R. W. Wheeler reported that arrangements were well in hand for a large children’s fancy dress party in the Winter Gardens in June. During the afternoon and evening the promoters expected 800 little guests. An offer from the commercial travellers to give a concert in aid of the hospital was gratefully accepted. Tt was stated that there would, be about 200 tables at. the June bridge party in the Art Gallery. Amongst those present were: Mesdames H. R. Smith. M'T>onald, M’Kechnie, Webley, T 7. W. Wheeler, G. Andrews, A. Macfarlane. J. T. Studholme. J. Fleming, E. Eslick. Griffiths. A. T. Reid. J. G. Wilson, the Hon Mrs Tahu Rhodes.. Bister Jones, and the Misses Westenra. Uhenev. Hobden. Ballantyne, Cruden and Ollivier.
