AERIAL TRANSPORT. BRITAIN’S BRIGHT FUTURE. GLOBE AIRSHIP SCHEME PROPOSED. LONDON, May 14. The “Daily Teleg.oph ” says that Cabinet has decided to carry out the Burney airship scheme on a limited scale. It has sanctioned the construction of two airships, one to be built by the Air Ministry, and the other by the company interested in Commander Burney’s scheme, the Government purchasing the airship after experimental trials. Three types of aeroplanes will short ly be constructed for the British Air Ministry’s trans-Enrpire service, which eventually is to reach Australia. A feature will be mail-carriers dropping bags by parachutes. Another type will carry many tons of urgentgoods. The passenger aeroplanes will be luxuriously appointed.
