Put Press Association. AUCKLAND. May 13. Mr Massey states that he has received from the ship-breakers who purchased the battle-cruiser New Zealand, a cheque for £20,000. The money is to be handed over to the British Government as a contribution towards the debt extinction fund in connection with the repayment of the cost of the gift battleship. The term of that fund has about five or six years to run.
